Jemma Meeson
Specialist Systemic Psychotherapist & Clinic Director

  • Jemma is a systemic psychotherapist with over ten years experience working across multiple private and NHS settings. Her specialism is in Eating Disorders and she has worked at The National Adult Eating Disorder Service where she was trained in the New Maudsley Method by Dr Janet Treasure. More recently she was also employed as a Highly Specialist Systemic Psychotherapist at the National Child and Adolescent Eating Disorder Inpatient Service. In private practice Jemma sees individuals, families and couples. Jemma has undertaken Emotion Focused Therapy training under Dr Greenberg and is also trained in EMDR. She is currently in the research phase of a doctorate at the Tavistock

    Jemma founded The Family Treatment Service in 2021 after the birth of her third child. She wanted to create a place where people could access experts in mental health in a welcoming environment, and where consultants were proud to work. She also does pro bono work for the refugee council and a local domestic violence service.

Dr Zara Rahemtulla
Clinical Psychologist
ADOS Clinician

  • Zara is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience in supporting children, parents and their families. She has previously worked for the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust, supporting families with children under 5, and at the South London and Maudsley NHS Trust, helping adolescents who self-harm, and families who had a child struggling with an eating disorder. Zara is also a qualified Family, Systemic Practitioner.

    Throughout her time in the NHS, Zara has developed a special interest in supporting parents to feel confident about themselves and their young children. She has expertise in toddler and child brain development, drawing from the most up-to-date and current research models. She is also ADOS trained and provides post Autism diagnosis support to families. She he experienced in supporting parents to feel confident about themselves and the way they raise their children.

    In her work, Zara takes the time to listen and understand someone’s story, tailoring therapy to the specific needs of the family/parent/child. She draws from various psychological approaches such as attachment theory, family therapy, compassion focused therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy and psychodynamic approaches. Zara is also a qualified EMDR therapist supporting people who have experienced single or multiple traumas.

    Zara is also a supervisor and teacher – she has lectured at various Universities, supervised student research and offers consultation to other professionals. She receives regular supervision to guide her thinking and accesses training to enrich her mind, body and soul.

Dr Ana Pérez Montoya
Clinical Psychologist

  • Ana is a Clinical Psychologist with extensive experience of working with children, young people, and their families, experiencing a wide range of mental health difficulties, conducting specialised assessments and interventions. She draws from various psychological approaches such as CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) and IPT (Interpersonal Psychotherapy). She has experience of working with young people experiencing neurodevelopmental difficulties and is ADOS and 3DI trained.

    Ana is very passionate about working with children and young people, and is very committed to delivering quality, evidence-based Interventions and to tailor therapy to each individual’s needs.

    Ana trained in Spain as a Clinical Psychologist and worked in private settings with children, adolescents, and adults. She started working for the NHS in 2016, when she joined the CAMHS team in Bedford (East London NHS Foundation Trust). In 2018 she joined Harrow CAMHS Emotional Disorders Team (Central and North West London Trust), where she worked with children, adolescents and their carers, carrying out assessments and evidence based interventions. She later took up the role of Sub Team Lead. She has extensive experience of providing supervision and consultation.

    Ana also worked as Child Well-being Practitioner Supervisor and Service Development Lead across Harrow, Brent and Hillingdon, promoting Early Intervention services in schools and CAMHS settings.

    She is registered with the Healthcare Professions Council (HCPC).

    Ana is currently based in Canada and offers online assessments and interventions.

Rebecca Gregan
Cognitive Behavioural Therapist

  • Rebecca is a BABCP accredited cognitive behavioural therapist who passionate about supporting individuals struggling with eating disorders and body image concerns.

    She has spent the last six years in the NHS working with adults, young people and families. Rebecca has worked as an Assistant Psychologist in an adults eating disorders service, delivering group and individual interventions. She has also worked within the Maudsley Centre for Child and Adolescent Eating Disorders.

    Rebecca uses evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy-Enhanced (CBT-E) and uses her knowledge of other therapeutic approaches to tailor treatment to the individual. She aims to create an environment, without judgement, in which individuals can understand their difficulties and learn invaluable skills.

Allison Hamilton
Educational Psychologist

  • Allison gained her masters in Educational Psychology from University College, London. She worked for a Local Education Authority in London for eight years before moving with her family to Tokyo, where she worked independently, with clients from the international community.

    Allison has worked closely with a wide range of primary and secondary schools, at the level of the individual child, with groups of children and by offering consultation and training to parents, teachers and management staff. She has also worked extensively within multidisciplinary teams. Allison has developed her experience of and interest in working with families by completing the foundation course in systemic family therapy. She speaks Spanish and Portuguese and has assessed and supported many bilingual children. Allison is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

    Allison adopts a holistic and problem solving approach to each child’s individual case, assessing them in a number of ways, which may include: discussing the child and the concerns with their parents/carers and teachers observing the child in their classroom, playground or at home reviewing the work the child has been doing at school speaking to and/or playing with the child

    Using standardised tests, to check the development of the child’s thinking and learning skills and to gain an insight into their strengths and relative difficulties.

Clare Furneaux
Speech and Language Therapist

  • I am a highly experienced speech and language therapist with over 10 years experience working in the private and public sector (NHS and private practices) I work with children and young people aged 4-16 years old who present with a range of speech, language and communication needs. I am passionate about supporting children and young people to develop their language skills so they can build their confidence communicating with a range of people in a variety of settings. I believe in using neurodiversity affirming approaches and setting goals collaboratively with parents and schools to ensure all communication targets worked on are functional and meaningful. I specialise in assessing and supporting children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and have worked in a range of specialist centres delivering bespoke therapy to this client group. I am a member of the National Association of Professionals concerned with Language Impairment in Children (NAPLIC) and ensure I am aware of the latest research to enable me to deliver effective, evidence-based therapy.

Dr Kerry Walster
Clinical Psychologist

  • Dr Kerri Walster, Clinical Psychologist, has worked as a pathway lead for families with children under the age of five in a CAMH service, in East London NHS Trust since 2020. Prior to this she worked in a specialist perinatal and under five’s service for the Tavistock and Portman since 2017.

    She completed a BSc in psychology in 2013, and a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2017. Since qualifying, she has trained in Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT), Incredible Year’s Toddler’s Parenting Programme, Video Intervention for Positive Parenting and Sensitive Discipline (VIPP-SD) and gained an Infant Mental Health Diploma in 2020.

    Kerri is a supervisor offering child psychotherapists/psychologists, midwives, and health visitors, a reflective space for the important work they do with parents, and also accesses regular supervision and training for guidance and learning in her own practice. 

    She is BPS, HPCP registered and is with a healthcare insurance provider.

    Kerri is a keen advocate for empowered mothering and fathering, and resistance to individualised narratives about parenting. She works integratively drawing on a range of theoretical approaches to inform her work primarily, attachment theory, systemic practice, psychodynamic and neurodevelopmental approaches. Kerri has experience of working with children and adolescents across the age range 0-18

Nina Melunsky
Clinical Psychologist

  • Dr Nina Melunsky is a Clinical Psychologist who has supported adults with a range of difficulties including anxiety, depression, psychosis, trauma and relational difficulties. She currently works part-time as a Senior Clinical Psychologist within the NHS, supporting adults who have learning disabilities and mental health problems. Having trained in therapeutic approaches including cognitive analytic therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and systemic therapy, Nina is able to tailor therapy to meet the needs of the person. She is passionate about supporting people to live the life that they want through a collaborate approach to therapy and is particularly interested in helping people to think about their life experiences and the impact they have had. Nina is also a supervisor and trainer, having offered training to universities, NHS Trusts, and other professional groups.

  • Jessica is a specialist teacher who has worked with children and adolescents and adults with a wide range of special needs and has focused her skill set in teaching people who present with Autism and Dyslexia. Jessica initially worked as a class teacher, but for the past 5 years has been supporting teachers across maintained and private schools with behaviour management, communication strategies and social thinking skills.

    Currently Jessica works with children, adolescents and adults to provide structured support around specific needs for London Autism Service.

Naomi Elton
Systemic Therapist

  • Naomi is a systemic therapist and a career coach for doctors. Naomi has had a wonderful career as a child & adolescent psychiatrist. When her own children grew up, and upon retiring from the NHS, Naomi decided to devote her time and expertise to working systemically with clients within their relationships. The role of psychiatrist had narrowed and Naomi continues to be a firm believer in the power of talking, listening and fine-tuning of relationships.

    Naomi trained at the Maudsley Hospital and Gt Ormond Street Hospital and worked for most of her career in Cambridge, including several years as clinical director leading children’s services for her NHS trust. Naomi is familiar with many different types of difficulty – depression, anxiety, eating disorders, behavioural problems, ADHD and autistic spectrum conditions. Naomi set up many innovative services including anger management and multi-family groups in schools and health in-reach in a secure children’s home. With her clear-thinking and empathic style, Naomi is able to help clients with many types of dilemma.

Helen Fielder
Speech and Language Therapist

  • Helen is a Speech and Language Therapist working as a highly specialist level in the NHS as well as carrying out some work in the independent sector. She has over 30 years of NHS experience and offers assessments and therapy for preschool and school aged children who have speech, language and communication difficulties. Helen aims to improve children’s speech and language skills whilst keeping therapy fun, and practical as well as motivating and stimulating. She believes in working alongside parents and key staff to develop the skills that will enable children to develop and use their communication functionally in everyday environments.

    Helen has worked with preschool and primary school aged children with speech and language difficulties in clinics at children’s homes and in mainstream nurseries and schools as well as at a resource base attached to a mainstream school. Helen is highly experienced in working with children presenting with a wide variety of speech, language and communication difficulties. Helen’s special interests are in autism spectrum disorder, social communication difficulties and developmental language disorder.

Dr Mollie Higgins

  • Mollie is a HCPC registered Child and Educational Psychologist. After working at the Tavistock and Portman NHS Trust supporting children with complex emotional needs, Mollie was inspired to return to the Tavistock to complete her professional doctorate. Mollie has worked in a range of schools, including primary, secondary and specialist settings, as well as having experience working in CAMHS and Local Authorities. Mollie supports children and young people with a range of needs including learning needs, social, emotional and mental health needs and neurodevelopmental conditions. Mollie has undertaken research with autistic young people who struggle to attend school and is passionate about participatory approaches that ensure the voices of young people are heard. Mollie is skilled in supporting individuals with social communication differences such as autism, using a neurodiversity-affirming approach and provides support around understanding their diagnosis, exploring thinking patterns and identifying their unique profile of strengths and needs. In addition, Mollie is passionate about using a systemic approach to support children and young people experiencing school attendance difficulties. Mollie is guided by principles of attachment theory, psychodynamic theory, personal construct psychology and systemic approaches. She utilises a range of approaches in her work with children and young people, including cognitive behavioural, narrative, mindfulness-based and play-based approaches. Mollie is skilled in facilitating consultations with the systems around children and young people and uses psychology to make sense of children’s behaviour, helping to shift narratives and promote positive outcomes.

Leah Jones
Speech and Language Therapist

  • Leah is a highly experienced speech and language therapist who has worked in both the private and public sector (NHS and Local Authority) for over 10 years. Leah has supported children and young people presenting with a range of speech, language and communication needs. She is able to support pre-school and school aged (primary and secondary) children/young people. Leah has focused much of her work on supporting individuals presenting with social communication differences/Autism. Her expertise in this field has enabled her to develop a deep understanding of the unique communication challenges faced by children on the autism spectrum. Leah is passionate about using a neuro diversity affirming framework to develop her client’s communication skills, increase their social interactions, and enhance their overall quality of life.

    Throughout her career, Leah has worked with children of all ages and backgrounds. She has a wealth of experience in developing individualised treatment plans that address each child's specific needs and goals. Leah is also skilled at working collaboratively with families and other professionals to ensure that her clients receive comprehensive and coordinated care.

She regularly attends professional development workshops and conferences to expand her knowledge and refine her skills. Áine Loi
Occupational Therapist

  • Áine is an occupational therapist with a wide range of experience in physical and mental health disciplines across the NHS and private sector. Áine is passionate about enabling children, adolescents and adults to achieve their full potential in life. She works in a holistic manner, incorporating a 'whole person' approach. Áine carries out initial autism assessments which is the first step to accessing the London Autism Service. This includes reviewing and analysing the results of the Social Responsiveness Scale (SRS-2) and conducting an in-person initial assessment. This enables us to gain a full picture of previous history, including how the person manages in their family environment and at school or work. We also assess the areas of communication and interaction, sensory processing and executive functioning, as well as conducting a risk assessment for each individual. Following this assessment the completed report will make recommendations based on the NICE guidelines, which may include being referred for a full ADOS assessment.

Dr Rebekah Easton

  • Becks is a Clinical Psychologist who has a wealth of experience of working therapeutically with children, families, and adults. Alongside her work at The Family Treatment Service, she works within the NHS. She has previously worked in a local Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service, supporting young people with mental health concerns and at St George’s University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, supporting children and parents to manage acute and long-term health conditions. She currently works for Croydon Health Services NHS Trust supporting babies and families on the Neonatal Unit.

    Becks is an experienced, thoughtful Clinical Psychologist who utilises playful approaches to ensure that each child, or whatever age, feels comfortable in speaking to her. She is passionate about supporting everyone in the family and believes that supporting parents is essential, as this has positive outcomes for the whole family. Becks is qualified to utilise a variety of different psychological models such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and she draws on systemic approaches. She has worked with young people who have additional needs such as Learning Disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Conditions and long-term physical health conditions.

    Becks is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and is a member of the Association of Clinical Psychologist (ACP-UK). She receives regular supervision and attends training to guide her thinking, keep up to date with the evidence base, and to ensure that she is offering the best possible service to anyone that comes to see her. She also provides consultation services to other professionals and has lectured on Clinical Psychology training courses.

Humaira Shaikh
Occupational Therapist

  • Humaira conducted her undergraduate degree in Psychology before completing her Masters in Occupational Therapy. She is also an ADOS trained and DBT trained therapist. Since qualifying she has spent a significant amount of time working in inpatient, outpatient and community settings working with both adults and children with neurodiversity as well as complex mental health issues.

    She also works in schools providing assessment and interventions for children needing extra support, often with diagnoses of Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD and dyspraxia. Her experience working in these settings has allowed her to gain a deeper understanding and awareness of how differently these conditions can present in each individual and the impact they can have on daily functioning and carrying out meaningful activities, whether that be in an educational, social or personal setting. Acknowledging that there is no ‘one size fits all’ model when it comes to neurodiversity, she is passionate about adopting a holistic approach with each client she sees.

    Furthermore, Humaira conducts ADOS assessments for both adults and children. Following these assessments she may provide appropriate support where necessary to support individuals with diagnoses with various strategies to help manage symptoms that may be present. Some of these interventions may include working on developing fine and gross motor skills which may assist with washing and dressing, hand writing and refining balance, strength and coordination. Additional interventions include sensory strategies, and DBT informed approaches to manage anxiety which is often paired with difficulty in carrying out tasks.

Dr. Muireann McSwiney
Educational Psychology

  • Muireann completed her doctorate at the University of Southampton before moving to London where she has worked in CAMHS and local authorities, as well as independent schools and the private sector. Her experience thus far has included engaging in direct therapeutic and assessment work with children and families, as well as managing and coordinating mental health service development and delivery of school-, college- and community-based wellbeing interventions, working with key stakeholders throughout to ensure the highest quality of intervention. Muireann has managed teams, including in the NHS where she managed a group of mental health practitioners delivering guided self-help to clients. Muireann’s work in local authority settings has afforded her in-depth knowledge of SEN-related legislation and she has been the lead practitioner for Education, Health and Care assessments, including providing psychological advice for the purposes of SEND judicial review. Muireann has developed specialist skills in assessing specific learning difficulties such as dyslexia and dyscalculia. Muireann adopts a person-centred, collaborative approach with clients and aims to make each client’s experience a positive one, characterised by warmth and professionalism. Muireann draws upon a range of tools and approaches in her work including consultation, solution-focused brief therapy, coaching psychology, standardised assessments such as the WISC-V and the WAIS-IV. Muireann's work has largely consisted of working as part of a multidisciplinary team which has granted her insight into a wide range of systemic and organisational factors. Muireann is passionate about psychology and supporting people and organisations to use psychology to bring about meaningful, positive solutions and change. Muireann is registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.

Dr Rebecca Rowley

  • Dr Rebecca Rowley is a Consultant Clinical Psychologist, registered with the Health and Care Professions Council and Chartered with the British Psychological Society. Rebecca has over 20 years of experience working within the NHS and private sector, including working within Community Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services, inpatient Eating Disorder Services, Looked After Children Services and, most recently, as Therapy Lead at a National Tier 4 inpatient Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service within Central and North West London NHS Foundation Trust.

    Rebecca has been trained to work with clients of all ages but has a special interest in working with children, adolescents and their families. She works in an integrative way drawing upon cognitive behavioural therapy, narrative therapy, solution-focussed, systemic, attachment and mentalisation-based approaches. She is collaborative, creative and playful in her approach to engaging and working with children.

    She offers assessment and therapy for a range of difficulties including anxiety, low mood and depression, obsessive compulsive disorder, dysregulated emotions and behaviour, trauma, eating and feeding difficulties. Rebecca has specialist training in assessing and working with children with neurodevelopmental difficulties, such as Autism and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder as well as children who have difficulties with learning. She is passionate about supporting and advocating for the needs of children and young people who are neurodiverse and/or may be struggling to access school. She has extensive experience of supporting families through the Education, Health and Care Plan application process and working with schools and caregivers to understand children's learning and mental health needs.

    Rebecca has provided teaching for psychology and psychiatry training programmes and has a wealth of experience in offering consultation, training and supervision to a wide range of professionals from heath, education and social care sectors.
