Goal: Explore how autism can present differently in girls and women, and how to support them meaningfully.

Session 1: The Invisible Profile – How Autism Presents in Girls & AFAB Youth

  • Differences in traits: internalising vs externalising behaviours

  • Social camouflage and masking – what it is and why it happens

  • Why so many girls are missed, misdiagnosed, or diagnosed late

Session 2: The Cost of Masking – Mental Health & Identity

  • Anxiety, depression, eating disorders, and the masking link

  • The exhaustion of social performance

  • Supporting authentic expression and identity

  • Signs of autistic burnout in girls and teens

Session 3: Supporting Girls to Thrive – Strengths, Connection & Self-Understanding

  • Strength-based approaches: creativity, empathy, deep interests

  • Supporting friendships, boundaries, and emotional safety

  • Building self-advocacy and helping them understand their neurodivergence positively

All sessions take place in person at our Ridgway Mews Clinic at 9.30am on 9th, 16th and 23rd September.

The support group is only available to people who can attend all three sessions; you will not be able to join halfway through the course.

Cost: £150 per person for 3 one hour sessions
