Clare Furneaux | Speech and Language Therapist
I am a highly experienced speech and language therapist with over 10 years experience working in the private and public sector (NHS and private practices) I work with children and young people aged 4-16 years old who present with a range of speech, language and communication needs. I am passionate about supporting children and young people to develop their language skills so they can build their confidence communicating with a range of people in a variety of settings. I believe in using neurodiversity affirming approaches and setting goals collaboratively with parents and schools to ensure all communication targets worked on are functional and meaningful. I specialise in assessing and supporting children with Developmental Language Disorder (DLD) and have worked in a range of specialist centres delivering bespoke therapy to this client group. I am a member of the National Association of Professionals concerned with Language Impairment in Children (NAPLIC) and ensure I am aware of the latest research to enable me to deliver effective, evidence-based therapy.
